Christ. Finasteride has impotence, loss of interest in sex, trouble having an orgasm, abnormal ejaculation listed as "common" side effects. And "Less serious" side effects also include impotence, loss of interest in sex, or trouble having an orgasm, which may persist after discontinuation. I thought this was rare. Why on earth are these side effects considered non-serious? Does the doctor consider impotence in himself as non-serious? This is really disheartening, that they can list this s**t as non-serious. Fvck off with "non-serious". It's the same with many anti-depressants.
Example... If your test levels were 3600 while on cycle and your normal levels before you went on cycle where 850(on the high end) your body adjusted to the higher levels at 3600. Even with PCT your test levels will not be as high as it was when you were on cycle. That is why it is recommended to taper down the dose slowly rather than just end your cycle and jump right into PCT and hope to jump start your Pituitary Gland to start releasing LH and FSH for your nads to start producing test. Unfortunately either way there will be a short period of time even with PCT that you will not be producing test on your own. Just depends on how quickly your body picks up on it.
The second most common reason is probably to address a fear that libido might be lost without it. It is true that when added to normal androgen levels, Proviron has an androgenic effect that in many cases improves libido. However, most anabolic steroids also have this same property. In a steroid cycle, adding Proviron accomplishes nothing further. Or in the case of anabolic steroids such as nandrolone ( Deca ) which for other reasons may adversely affect libido, Proviron provides no greater help against that than do various other anabolic steroids .
